Open Office Suite

Open Office Suite is another set of applications in the same style as Microsoft Office.

It is available for both Windows and Linux. It has a very good set of help pages that come with it. They are getting ready to deploy Suite 3.0, It is released!!! A caveat, wait awhile as the other day there was so much demand it caused the servers at Open Office to crash. If you are running a Linux OS, wait till it is packaged for your specific OS!! It is now available from openoffice.org in both RPM and DEB!!

The biggest difference in the two Office Suites is the cost, Open Office FREE.As more and more people discover that Microsoft is not the only game in town, they are switching. It would be nice if you made a donation, but not required.

It has the following applications, a Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Database, Presentation, Project Management, and Drawing.
